Not very accommodating. Asked for oil and vinegar in place of salad dressing because of allergies. They wouldn't do it. Ordered gluten free bread (that it has available for sandwiches) in place of a pita for a gyro - they brought out the gyro stuff on one slice of bread. I asked for another slice and later found out they planned to charge me double for the extra slice of bread. $4.00 for 2 slices of gluten free bread? I don't think so! Had to go to Subway for a salad my daughter could eat and almost paid $13.00 for a gyro and fries I could eat. Son said calzone was okay and husband loved his pizza, but will be choosing somewhere else next vacation!!
Our family really enjoyed the Cafe! Service was prompt and courteous. Generous portions. Reasonably priced. This was the BEST Reuben sandwich I've ever had - and I love Reubens!
I have been eating at the Village Square on a fairly regular basis with several of my coworkers for over 15 years. I know in the summer months that it is very busy and getting your food can be very slow, so it has been common practice to order ahead to make sure that we have enough time to eat our food on lunch break. Today I called ahead and ordered lunch for myself and 3 of my coworkers. My coworkers all had the Gyros each with different sides and I had a pizza. When we arrived only one of the Gyros we ordered was served along with my pizza and the sides that were ordered with the other Gyros. We waited for the server to bring the other Gyros thinking that she was just going to make two trips, but the Gyros never came. When we asked she said that there was only one Gyro ordered. While this was frustrating because we were already 15 minutes into our 30 minute lunch break, our server did try her best to get the other two Gyros out and to get my coworkers a discount. However, when we went to pay and our server was again apologizing for the misunderstanding and saying that they are going to have to get better about reading the orders back, the owner tells me that this has been an issue that they have been having and that they were going to stop accepting call ahead orders. Like it was our fault that our order was messed up? (Also frustrating as I see in a review a month ago the owner responded that due to how busy they are in the summer people should call their orders in ahead). As a very regular customer I find it very discouraging that my business is valued so little and I will be taking my business elsewhere, as will many of my coworkers. I have to say that I am disappointed in the decline in quality of service at the Village since it has changed ownership.
I don't have a specific memory or eating here, but I have several times and it's been good each time I've been. I really haven't seen any of the stuff that the negative reviews have claimed, so as far as I am concerned this is a good stop to grab a bite to eat.
Extremely nice waitress and fast service. We shared the turkey bacon guacamole wrap with fries and it was very good! They even split it for us although we didn't ask. Fair prices, nice atmosphere. We'd come again.
Also visited their ice cream shop! Great selection and cheap prices! Yummy...
